Founded by local owner Kay Elgin, The Book and Brew Café combines a love of literature, hospitality, and community. What began as a dream has grown into a welcoming space where readers, families, students, professionals, and visitors can come together to relax, work, learn, and connect.
Located in downtown Houlton, Maine, our café offers handcrafted coffee drinks, specialty beverages, carefully curated books, children’s story times, book clubs, author events, and seasonal community gatherings.
